Distinguished Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia and Spouse,
\nLadies and Gentlemen, Esteemed Guests.<\/p>\n

We, as Indonesian nation, should be grateful for having batik, which is not just an ordinary work of art, but a world\u2019s intangible cultural heritage with symbolism, techniques, and culture deeply rooted in Indonesia. To that end, on today\u2019s \u2018Istana Berbatik\u2019<\/em>, an event held to commemorate National Batik Day on 2nd<\/sup> October, I call on all Indonesian people to boost pride in the wealth of Indonesian arts and cultures while actively preserving and developing them.<\/p>\n

By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim<\/em>, tonight I hereby officially inaugurate \u2018Istana Berbatik\u2019<\/em>.<\/p>\n
