Indonesian humanitarian aid for Palestine arrived in El Arish, Egypt, Monday (11\/06).<\/p>\n

This first batch of the humanitarian aid, weighing 51.5 tons, was transported using two C-130 Hercules Air Force aircraft and one Airbus A330 aircraft. For the record, the two Hercules aircraft was sent off by President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta on Saturday (11\/04).<\/p>\n

The first Hercules aircraft landed at El Arish Airport at around 08.30 local time or 13.30 Western Indonesian Time, followed by the second aircraft shortly thereafter.<\/p>\n

The aid was then handed over by Indonesian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pahala Nugraha Mansury to representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent. The Deputy Minister thanked the people of Indonesia for their solidarity with the Palestinian people.<\/p>\n

“Thank you to the Indonesian people who have extended their solidarity to the Palestinian people, donating the aid that has just arrived at El Arish Airport and will be handed over to the Egyptian Red Crescent to be transported to the Gaza border,” he said.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, due to weather constraints around El Arish, the chartered Airbus A330 aircraft, dispatched on Monday (11\/06) from Soekarno Hatta Airport, was redirected to Cairo International Airport. Until this news was published, the plane was still in Cairo.<\/p>\n

For the first batch of humanitarian aid delivery, the Indonesian Government sent various supplies that have been tailored to the needs of the Palestinian people in Gaza.
