President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo Friday (11\/10) led a ceremony to pay tribute to the nation\u2019s heroes at the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery in Jakarta.<\/p>\n

Accompanied by Vice President Ma\u2019ruf Amin, President Jokowi acted as the inspector for the ceremony to commemorate the 2023 National Heroes Day.<\/p>\n

The ceremony began with a report delivered by the ceremony commander Air Force Colonel Puguh Yulianto to the ceremony inspector, followed by giving a salute to the fallen heroes.<\/p>\n

Afterward, the siren was sounded to commemorate the Battle of November 10th<\/sup>, 1945 in Surabaya, followed by a moment of silence led by the ceremony inspector.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s take a moment of silence to honor the service of our nation\u2019s heroes,\u201d President Jokowi said.<\/p>\n

On that occasion, the President laid a wreath at a monument and Minister of Religious Affairs Yaqut Cholil Qoumas recited a prayer for the heroes.<\/p>\n

The ceremony concluded with a final salute to the heroes, led by the ceremony commander.<\/p>\n

After the ceremony, President Jokowi and Vice President Ma\u2019ruf Amin were seen laying flower petals on the graves of fallen heroes accompanied by several Ministers of the Indonesia Onward Cabinet.
