President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo Saturday (11\/11) held a bilateral meeting with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the Extraordinary Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the two Presidents came to an agreement that they will continue to join hands to resolve the Gaza problem and continue to support the cause of the Palestinian people, including in realizing Palestinian independence.<\/p>\n

“And also to remind the world to resolve the root of the problem, namely Palestinian independence based on a two-state solution,” said President Jokowi at the King Abdulaziz International Convention Center (KAICC), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n

Additionally, President Jokowi emphasized that the OIC must stand united and be at the forefront. The OIC must urge an immediate ceasefire, calling for the start of a humanitarian pause.<\/p>\n

“And ensure access to humanitarian aid that is safe, predictable, sustainable, and reaches all citizens,” he added.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, President Jokowi emphasized that Indonesia will use all channels, including the UN General Assembly, Human Rights Council and the International Criminal Court to voice justice and humanity for the Palestinian people.<\/p>\n

The two leaders also said that T\u00fcrkiye and Indonesia have actively been seeking to engage in resolving the problems in Gaza. In addition, the two leaders also discussed efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation and agreed to intensify negotiations on the Indonesia-T\u00fcrkiye Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IT-CEPA) so that it can be concluded by 2024.<\/p>\n
