Following the submission of Letters of Credence of 10 new Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary (LBBP) of Friendly Countries to the Republic of Indonesia to President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Friday (12\/08), several ambassadors expressed their vision to strengthen diplomatic relations with Indonesia in various fields, including the economy.<\/p>\n

Resident Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Chile to the Republic of Indonesia Mario Ignacio Artaza Loyola stated that Indonesia-Chile have established a comprehensive economic partnership agreement since 2019. As the ambassador, Loyola also said that he would carry out his responsibility to continue to strengthen the economic partnership between the two countries.<\/p>\n

“Indonesia has 60 percent of the population under the age of 30. It is clear that for Chile, Indonesia is a huge market for goods, services, and investment,” he said.<\/p>\n

Similarly, Canada’s Resident Ambassador-Designate to the Republic of Indonesia Jess Dutton stated that he is mandated to strengthen the diplomatic relations between Canada and Indonesia that have been forged for more than 70 years. He pointed out that Indonesia and Canada have also collaborated in addressing global challenges such as climate change, energy transition, and global peace and security.<\/p>\n

“I know that by working together we will achieve a lot,” Dutton said.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Resident Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Denmark to the Republic of Indonesia, Sten Frimodt Nielsen stated that there is great potential for strengthening cooperation between Denmark and Indonesia in the maritime sector as both countries are surrounded by oceans.<\/p>\n
