More massive and systemic efforts that implement the most recent technology are required to prevent and eradicate corruption, according to President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo.<\/p>\n

The President made the statement at the peak event of the 2023 International Anti-Corruption Day held at Istora Senayan stadium, Gelora Bung Karno sports complex in Jakarta, Tuesday (12\/12).<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need joint efforts that are more systemic, that are more massive, that utilize the most recent technology to prevent corruption. We need to strengthen our prevention system, including fixing the quality of our law enforcement human resources, goods and service procurement system, licensing system, and the like,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The President stated that as part of corruption prevention efforts, the Government has digitalized various services, including providing e-catalog for goods and service procurement as well as Online Single Submission for licensing system.<\/p>\n

\u201cBack then, there were only 50,000 goods listed on e-catalog. This morning I asked the Head of the Government Procurement Agency (LKPP) to report to me. Today, there are 7.5 million goods listed on the e-catalog. The difference is stark,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Moreover, the President pointed out that the Government also has Regional Government Information System (SIPD), National Logistics System (Sislognas), and Mineral and Coal Information System (Simbara) for ministries\/institutions.<\/p>\n

\u201cSimbara for coal, and later it will be used for nickel, bauxite, and copper. I suppose it will also enable us to monitor how much of our natural resources that have been exploited, exported, and so on,\u201d he said, adding that the Government is currently preparing a one map policy, which is 60-70 percent completed and targeted to be completed in 2024.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt will be very helpful to prevent corruption. Online taxing, I suppose, is also great. Electronic certificate is also good. There should be a good application platform for everything in order to prevent corruption,\u201d he remarked.
