Cabinet Secretariat has once again received an award for \u2018informative\u2019 category for the state institutions and non-ministerial government institutions. The award was received by Advisor to Cabinet Secretary for Communication Kardwiyana Ukar during the Public Information Openness Award, at the Vice Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday (12\/19).<\/p>\n

The Public Information Openness Award is presented based on the result of monitoring and evaluation of public information openness carried out by the Central Information Commission.<\/p>\n

Cabinet Secretariat has earned the score of 96.72 which is higher than that in the previous years when it earned the score of 94.90 in 2022 and 90.87 in 2021. With this achievement, the Cabinet Secretariat has successfully gained the \u2018informative\u2019 predicate for the three consecutive years.<\/p>\n

In his remarks, Vice president Ma\u2019ruf Amin emphasized the importance of public information openness in realizing a good governance and that it has determined the success of bureaucratic reform program.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am also confident that information transparency is a way to maintain democracy that leads to improving the people\u2019s prosperity,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Vice President has also appreciated the fact that more public bodies earning the \u2018informative\u2019 predicate from time to time. According to Vice President, it is an indication of a good compliance of Indonesian public bodies in implementing public information openness.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe number of public bodies fell into \u2018informative\u201d category rises significantly. In 2018, only 15 public bodies fell into \u2018informative\u2019 category, but in 2023 the number grows significantly to 139,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Previously, Chairperson of Central Information Commission Donny Yoesgiantoro in his report mentioned that the monitoring and evaluation of public information openness is an instrument to realize a big vision of information openness in Indonesia.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe big vision of information openness development is to realize an information society that is developed, smart, and adopting the values of Pancasila (the Five Principles), and to realize a good, clean, transparent, and accountable governance,\u201d Donny further explained.<\/p>\n

Donny added that this year, out of 369, 139 fell into \u2018informative\u2019 category, 43 fell into \u2018toward informative\u2019 category, 13 fell into \u2018fairly informative\u2019 category, 27 fell into \u2018less informative\u2019 category, and 147 fell into \u2018not informative\u2019 category.<\/p>\n

Donny also remarked that the number of public bodies that fell into \u2018informative\u2019 category has surpassed the target of national mid-term development plan that initially targeted 90 public bodies.
