(Photo by: PR\/Jay)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo underscored that the human capital quality of judges is key of the national justice system.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe quality includes an attitude of integrity, professionalism, sensitivity to society\u2019s sense of justice as well as the development of the time, science, and technology,\u201d President Jokowi said at the Special Session of the 2023 Annual Report of the Supreme Court in Jakarta, Tuesday (02\/20).<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In his remarks, the President appreciated the innovations carried out by the Supreme Court as an effort to accelerate legal transformation in the country, one of which is through a judicial decision support system.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInnovation must be a part of reform, not only by adopting new technology but also by adopting perspective and sensitivity in resolving legal cases, including implementing a restorative justice system as a breakthrough in resolving cases,\u201d President Jokowi said.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of State also welcomed the internal reforms carried out by the Supreme Court to uphold its principles in improving court performance in a sustainable manner.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPublic expectations of judicial institutions are increasingly high. The people demand guarantees of justice. They are increasingly critical of the judicial process and more open in expressing their opinions,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>In the light of 99.47 percent of cases that has been ruled out by the Supreme Court last year, President Jokowi reminded that the Supreme Court also needs to prioritize the quality of decisions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe quality of the decision is paramount.
