President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo extended appreciation to the Indonesian National Football Team for winning the match against Vietnam 3-0 in the second round of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup in the Asian zone Group F, in My Dinh Stadium, Hanoi, Vietnam.<\/p>\n

\u201cI guess everyone is delighted as we can win the match at Vietnam\u2019s home with the score of 3-0,\u201d the President said in his press statement in Sigi regency, Central Sulawesi province, Wednesday (03\/27).<\/p>\n

The Indonesia’s three goals \u00a0scored by Jay Idzes, Ragnar Oratmangoen, and Ramadhan Sananta mark the first win of Indonesia against Vietnam in the past 20 years.<\/p>\n

He went on to say that Indonesia\u2019s ranking in FIFA will increase due to the score. The match also indicated gradual improvement in Indonesia\u2019s national football team structure and placed Indonesia in the second place in the temporary standings of Group F in the 2026 World Cup qualifier for the Asia zone.
