The Government is committed to keeping the 2025 State Budget deficit below three percent.<\/p>\n

“The commitment to keep the deficit below three percent is to maintain discipline in the state budget. It is also aimed at improving quality and stability so that the new administration can focus on delivering its priority programs,” Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati said in a press statement at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Friday (04\/05).<\/p>\n

The Minister stated that the focus of the 2025 fiscal policy is to accelerate economic growth, improve well-being, and promote inter-regional progress. Several key areas such as downstreaming, green transformation, infrastructure development, superior human resources (HR), inclusiveness, and bureaucratic reforms will continue to be prioritized.<\/p>\n

“For various programs, especially in the field of human resources such as education, health, and social protection, we are confident that they have accommodated the priority programs of the incoming administration,” she said.<\/p>\n

The Minister added that the Government is currently refining various designs and postures of the 2025 State Budget while maintaining a transparent political process. This is to prevent issues related to the perception and legitimacy of the State Budget preparation process.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will continue to formulate the 2025 State Budget. Meanwhile, communication with the new administration transition will also be carried out,” she stated.<\/p>\n

The Minister also said that discussions with the new administration on its priority programs will also be carried out.<\/p>\n

While on the posture, we will still look at the priority programs that will be implemented by the new administration, and discipline and prudent fiscal policy will continue to be maintained, including a deficit below three percent,” she concluded.
