President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo led the groundbreaking ceremony of Al-Azhar Summarecon Nusantara Islamic School, Tuesday (06\/04). The ceremony that was held at the Nusantara Capital (IKN), North Penajam Paser regency, East Kalimantan province was one of the Government\u2019s efforts to prepare for education facilities in the area of IKN.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am very pleased to lead the ground breaking ceremony of Al-Azhar Summarecon Nusantara Islamic School, because education facilities are really needed in the IKN, be it elementary schools, junior high schools, senior high schools, and so on,\u201d he said, adding that the Islamic school architecture is very well designed because it is in line with the IKN concept that blends with nature. The school is designed similar to stilt houses embellished with natural elements.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt means that the school builds the character of the students since young age to get close to the environment and their religion,\u201d President Jokowi observed.<\/p>\n

With adequate education facilities, the President expressed belief that the investors will have no doubt to make an investment in IKN, especially when IKN will be more easily accessible by toll road and airport that are targeted to finish in the end of June or early August.<\/p>\n

\u201cLater, in the end of June or early August, the airport construction in IKN will be completed and commercial planes can finally land there. This will make IKN closer to you, Ladies and Gentlemen. I have come here probably more than ten times. I have tried to use the toll road and it is indeed so close,\u201d he described.<\/p>\n

President Jokowi also expressed his optimism that investing in IKN is a future investment for the investors. \u201cLadies and Gentlemen, you may see it now that the infrastructure has not ready yet and you probably imagine that it will take a very long time. However, if [the development of] both infrastructure has completed, the airport and the toll road, everything will totally change,\u201d President Jokowi remarked.
