Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan announced that the issuance of event permits will be expedited. It means there will be no permits issued just one day before the event is held.<\/p>\n

He made the statement at the Launch of Digitalization of Event Organizing Licensing Services, at The Tribrata Hotel and Convention Center, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta, Monday (06\/24).<\/p>\n

Luhut said that this digitalization regulates that event permits must be issued fourteen days before the D-Day for national events and 21 days before the D-Day for international events.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter this launch, I hope that no more permits shall be issued one day before D-Day. I repeat, no more permits shall be issued one day before D-Day or even a few hours before the event,\u201d he emphasized.<\/p>\n

Luhut also explained that this launch is a follow up to the directive of President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo to streamline event licensing.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe steps (to apply permit) for data entry are reduced from 63 documents to 33 documents and from 9 documents to 2 documents that must be submitted by the event organizer,\u201d he said, adding that this new system integrates payments with digital services of Ministry of Finance, so that the payment system will be easier and more transparent.<\/p>\n

He expressed hope that with the ease of event licensing, Indonesia will hold more interesting events, both national and international, and can have an economic impact.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Government hopes that by digitizing and streamlining event licensing, Indonesia will hold various interesting events, both national and international. As a result, tourist visits will increase MSME\u2019s participation. It can also increase Indonesia\u2019s competitiveness among other countries,\u201d he explained, while adding that this effort will also be a magnet to encourage the achievement of the target of 1.25 billion domestic tourists and 14.3 million foreign tourists within the framework of the national program \u201cProud to Travel in Indonesia\u201d movement of 2024,\u201d he remarked.
