\"\"President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo has issued Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia (Keppres) Number 24 of 2024 on the Task Force for the Monitoring of the 21st<\/sup> National Sports Week (PON) Year 2024 in Aceh and North Sumatra provinces and the 17th<\/sup> National Paralympic Week (Peparnas) Year 2024 in Central Java province.<\/p>\n

The establishment of the Task Force aims to ensure that the implementation of the 21st<\/sup> PON Year 2024 in Aceh and North Sumatra provinces, and the 17th<\/sup> Peparnas Year 2024 in Central Java province can run in a smooth, orderly, transparent, accountable, and well-managed manner. This task force will actively monitor and accelerate the resolution of any issues that may arise during the event\u2019s organization.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn order to oversee the implementation of the 21st<\/sup> PON Year 2024 in Aceh and North Sumatra provinces and the 17th<\/sup> Peparnas Year 2024 in Central Java province, from preparation, execution, to accountability, the Task Force for monitoring the events is established,\u201d reads Article 1 of the Decree, which can be accessed on the JDIH of the Secretariat Cabinet\u2019s website.<\/p>\n

The Task Force consists of Directors and Executors, which include the Executor for Event Implementation and the Executor for Governance. The Deputy for Human Development and Cultural Affairs (PMK) of the Secretariat Cabinet is listed as a member of the Executor for Event Implementation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Task Force for the Monitoring of the 21st<\/sup> PON Year 2024 and the 17th<\/sup> Peparnas Year 2024 is under and responsible to the President,\u201d states Article 2.<\/p>\n

The role of the Directors is to provide strategic policy directions to the Executors and to coordinate and synchronize the steps for implementing strategic policies and necessary innovations in overseeing the PON and Peparnas 2024.<\/p>\n

The duties of the Executors for Event Implementation are as follows:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Implementing the strategic policies from the Directors;<\/li>\n
  2. Taking the necessary coordinated steps to prevent issues from arising during the monitoring process of the PON and Peparnas 2024;<\/li>\n
  3. Taking coordinated and integrated steps to resolve obstacles or problems that arise during the monitoring process of the PON and Peparnas 2024; and<\/li>\n
  4. Monitoring the implementation of the PON and Peparnas 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The duties of the Executors in Governance are as follows:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Providing legal assistance during the monitoring process of the PON and Peparnas 2024;<\/li>\n
    2. Supervising the accountability of the use of funds for the PON and Peparnas 2024 through monitoring, assistance, review, and coaching;<\/li>\n
    3. Providing assistance in the procurement of goods\/services for the PON and Peparnas 2024 in accordance with the provisions of the laws and regulations; and<\/li>\n
    4. Monitoring the implementation of the PON and Peparnas 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \u201cThe Task Force for the Monitoring of the 21st<\/sup> PON Year 2024 and the 17th<\/sup> Peparnas Year 2024 carries out its duties from the establishment of this Presidential Decree until December 31, 2024,\u201d reads Article 14, which comes into force from the date of its establishment on June 31, 2024.
