President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo inspects the Delimas Grand Market in Lubuk Pakam district, Deli Serbang regency, Tuesday (09\/10).<\/p><\/div>\n

In a bid to monitor the prices of basic commodities, President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo Tuesday (09\/10) inspected the Delimas Grand Market in Lubuk Pakam district, Deli Serdang regency, North Sumatra province.<\/p>\n

According to the President, the prices of basic necessities at the market remained stable and satisfactory, with some commodities having even experienced a reduction in price.<\/p>\n

\u201cI believe the prices are stable. We hope this situation will have a positive impact on the country’s inflation rate in the future,\u201d the President said.<\/p>\n

The President also mentioned a detailed report on the prices of several basic necessities, including the shallot price that fell to between Rp22,000 and Rp25,000 per kilogram.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverything appears to be in good condition. In fact, some commodities have seen drop in prices such as shallots, which now cost between Rp22,000 and Rp25,000 per kilogram. Garlic is priced at Rp37,000, red chilies at Rp20,000, and cayenne pepper at Rp60,000,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The Head of State went on to say that the decline in commodity prices is expected to boost people’s purchasing power and positively impact the national inflation rate.<\/p>\n
