President Joko \u201cJokowi\u201d Widodo inaugurated seven Integrated Cross-Border Posts (PLBN) located in several regions, at Napan PLBN, North Timor Tengah regency, East Nusa Tenggara, on Wednesday morning, October 02, 2024. In his remarks, the President said that PLBNs are the front porch that represents the face of Indonesia.<\/p>\n

“I reaffirm that the border is the front porch of Indonesia. The face of our country is here, in the PLBNs we built,” the President said.<\/p>\n

In addition, the President stated that PLBN is a representation of the nation\u2019s progress. Therefore, he ordered all the construction of PLBNs in all corners of Indonesia.<\/p>\n

“From 2015 to 2024 we have built 15 cross-border posts; 7 PLBNs were built in 2015-2019 and eight PLBNs in 2020-2024. Today we will inaugurate seven integrated cross-border posts in East Nusa Tenggara, Riau Islands, West Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, and South Papua, with a total cost of Rp1.3 trillion. It is not a small amount of money,” he explained.<\/p>\n

Here are the PLBNs inaugurated today:<\/p>\n

  1. The Napan PLBN in North Timor Tengah regency, East Nusa Tenggara, built at a cost of Rp128 billion;<\/li>\n
  2. The Serasan PLBN in Natuna regency, Riau Islands, built at a cost of Rp145 billion;<\/li>\n
  3. The Jagoi Babang PLBN in Bengkayang regency, West Kalimantan, built at a cost of IDR224 billion;<\/li>\n
  4. The Sei Nyamuk PLBN on Sebatik Island, North Kalimantan, built at a cost of Rp248 billion;<\/li>\n
  5. The Labang PLBN in Nunukan regency, North Kalimantan, built at a cost of Rp210 billion;<\/li>\n
  6. The Long Nawang PLBN in Malinau regency, North Kalimantan, built at a cost of Rp243 billion;<\/li>\n
  7. The Yetetkun PLBN in Ninati district, Boven Digoel regency, South Papua, was built at a cost of Rp127 billion.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Furthermore, he said that PLBNs give various advantages, namely improving services for the community, enhancing regional security, encouraging the growth of new economic centers, and fostering nationalism.<\/p>\n

    “The existence of PLBN is to improve services for Indonesian people crossing the border, improve security in border areas, encourage the growth of new economic centers near the borders, and also uplift nationalism of the people who reside there,” concluded the President.
