President Prabowo Subianto (10\/23) underscored the importance of unison and efficiency in managing budget during the first plenary cabinet meeting in his term of office, in Jakarta.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnison means we\u2019re in agreement about national interests that are indispensable to the survival of the state,\u201d he said adding that people\u2019s prosperity, strengthening of education and law enforcement are the main focuses of the current government.<\/p>\n

The President went on to say that a leader should have great cooperation with others to achieve the national objectives, namely to protect all Indonesians.<\/p>\n

In addition, he said that efficiency is crucial in managing budget. Therefore, he ordered his cabinet to curb ceremonial agenda, seminars, workshops, and conferences. He also gave authority to ministers to replace state officials who do not perform well.<\/p>\n

On that occasion, President Prabowo emphasized that food and energy self-sufficiency are keys to facing global challenge since geopolitical risks including war can break out anytime, which will highly affect Indonesia\u2019s food security.<\/p>\n
