On the sidelines of his working visit to the United States, President Prabowo Subianto Wednesday (11\/13) had a meeting with Secretary of Defense of the United States Lloyd Austin in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a good relationship. He and I have worked together for a long time,\u201d President Prabowo said.<\/p>\n

According to the President, the meeting aimed to maintain and increase defense cooperation between Indonesia and the US, as well as to affirm commitment of the two countries in facing global security challenges.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe discussed current issues, cooperation between the two countries, as well as exchanged information and views. I think that\u2019s the highlight (of the discussion),\u201d the Head of State said.<\/p>\n

As defense relations of the two countries continue to grow, Indonesia and the US are expected to be more solid in overcoming security threats, both in the Asia-Pacific region and at the international level.
