President Prabowo Subianto officially opened the Tanwir Session and Reception of the 112th<\/sup> Anniversary of Muhammadiyah at Universitas Muhammadiyah Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara Province, on Wednesday (04\/12). With the theme \u201cCreating Prosperity for All\u201d, the event became a strategic moment to strengthen the role of Muhammadiyah in the nation-building.<\/p>\n

On his remarks, the President conveyed his appreciation for Muhammadiyah\u2019s contribution for more than a century to support the nation\u2019s progress. Moreover, Muhammadiyah had opened educational institutions not only for Muslims but also for all religious followers.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would like to convey my respect to Muhammadiyah. You have opened educational institutions not only for Muslims but also for all religious followers. You have set an example in tolerance, inclusive living, a life of mutual respect, a life of caring for each other, supporting each other. These are very important,\u201d the President said.<\/p>\n

President Prabowo also delivered his congratulatory message on the 112th<\/sup> Anniversary of Muhammadiyah and hoped that Muhammadiyah would continue to improve its role in various fields that provide real benefits for society, nation, and state.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope that in the future Muhammadiyah will continue to play a role in the field of preaching, health, education to create prosperity for all which is precisely our common purpose,\u201d the President remarks.<\/p>\n

As a sign of the official opening of the Tanwir Session and Reception of the 112th<\/sup> Anniversary of Muhammadiyah, President Prabowo played Sasando, a traditional stringed musical instrument from East Nusa Tenggara, as a symbol of hopes and spirit of unity which is in line with the noble values \u200b\u200bof Muhammadiyah.
