President Prabowo Subianto has once again emphasized the important role of the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) in maintaining and upholding state sovereignty.<\/p>\n

\u201cTNI and Polri are two institutions that embody the state\u2019s presence and sovereignty enforcement. The Constitution, Presidential Decrees, government regulations, Presidential regulations, and all products of government are meaningless if they are not enforced,\u201d the President said in his briefing at the 2025 TNI-Police Leader\u2019s Meeting (Rapim) held at the Tribrata, Jakarta, Thursday (30\/01\/2025).<\/p>\n

The Head of State went on to say that the success or failure of a country is determined by the performance of the TNI and Polri in performing their duties.<\/p>\n

According to him, the TNI and Polri play a strategic role in maintaining the sovereignty of the country; hence if these two institutions fail, it could be said that the country itself has failed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe TNI and Polri are part of a country that has a special authority. TNI and Polri are given authority by the state to hold a physical monopoly, a monopoly on weapons,\u201d the President added.<\/p>\n

The President reminded that the power given to both institutions is a great mandate from the people, while adding that the people entrusted the TNI and Polri with power and expressing hope that the two institutions could carry out their duties with dedication and devotion.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe people equip you from head to toe, the people feed TNI and Polri, and the people authorize TNI and Polri to hold a monopoly on weapons. And with such great trust, by handing over power to you, you are expected to give your highest dedication,\u201d the President said.<\/p>\n

The Head of State also emphasized that the positions and ranks given to personnels of the TNI and Polri are not only an honor, but also a mandate that must be carried out with great sacrifice, adding that TNI and Polri must be ready to give their bodies and souls for the sake of the nation and the state.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe rank that you hold, the star that you have, the star that is on your shoulder, means an honor from the people. It is a form of respect from the people because the people leave the fate of their security to your hand,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

President Prabowo Subianto also reminded that the positions and ranks held by TNI and Polri personnels must come with great responsibility, including willingness to sacrifice unreluctantly for the sake of the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe people have trusted the protection of themselves, their future, and the future of the entire nation on your shoulders. The rank given to you means that the people understand that when needed. You must be willing to give up your body and soul without hesitation,\u201d the President said.
