President Prabowo Subianto Monday (4\/7) took part in the National Harvest held in Randegan Wetan village, Jati 7 district, Majalengka, West Java.<\/p>\n

The event was part of a simultaneous rice harvest across fourteen provinces and 156 regencies\/cities, underscoring the Government’s strong commitment to enhancing national food security.<\/p>\n

Upon his arrival, President Subianto was welcomed by members of the Red and White Cabinet and the local community.<\/p>\n

In high spirits, the President stepped into the rice fields and joined the harvest using a modern combine harvester, showcasing the administration’s support for innovation in agriculture.<\/p>\n

The President also observed a direct rice purchasing transaction between farmers and the State Logistics Agency (Bulog) as the Government’s efforts to ensure fair pricing and improve farmer welfare.<\/p>\n

The event continued with a dialogue session between the President and local farmers, which was also connected virtually to farmers in thirteen other provinces participating in the nationwide harvest.<\/p>\n

In his remarks, President Prabowo Subianto expressed deep appreciation for all those who worked hard to maintain stability during Ramadan and the Eid holiday, especially in keeping food prices under control.<\/p>\n

The Head of State also highlighted the extraordinary performance of agricultural workers and officials who consistently worked on the ground to secure the food supply despite global challenges.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery time I look for them, they’re out in the rice fields. One day in West Kalimantan, the next in Merauke, then in Lampung. Our ministers were out there, on the ground, working tirelessly,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Addressing thousands of farmers, the President once again stressed the vital role of farmers in sustaining the nation and the state.<\/p>\n

\u201cFarmers are the ones who feed the country. Without food, there is no nation. I have said this many times, without food for years, there would be no Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI),\u201d the President stated.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman in his report attributed the success of the 2025 harvest to the pro-farmer policies implemented by President Prabowo Subianto.<\/p>\n

The Minister noted a significant increase in rice absorption by Bulog, with national rice reserves reaching 2.4 million tons, and projected to hit 3 million tons by the end of the month\u2014the highest in two decades.<\/p>\n
