President Prabowo Subianto warmly received Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia Dato\u2019 Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid bin Hamidi during a courtesy call at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday (04\/22), reaffirming the close ties between Indonesia and Malaysia while also strengthening the personal bond between the two leaders.<\/p>\n

The meeting unfolded with great warmth in an atmosphere of deep friendship. President Prabowo said that he was feeling nostalgic for his old friend Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid bin Hamidi.<\/p>\n

President Prabowo also stated that the two leaders exchanged views and information on global and economic issues and discussed cooperation between Indonesia and Malaysia.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, both leaders also discussed the Trump Tariff, a current topic of global discussion. \u201cHow can we not discuss it? It is currently a global discussion,\u201d the President added.<\/p>\n

Gaza-related issues also remained in the discussion between the two as they are the leaders of two countries with predominantly Muslim populations.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, we talked about Gaza. After all, our people are mostly Muslims,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
