President Prabowo Subianto on Tuesday (5\/6) at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta received letters of credence from eight Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of friendly countries.<\/p>\n

The handover of the letters of credence to the President today was not just a common diplomatic ceremony. For the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary from various countries, this moment is a start to build closer ties with Indonesia, a country that is rich in culture, friendly, and full of potential.<\/p>\n

The Designate Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of New Zealand, Philip Nathan Taula, expressed his pride in being able to return to be on duty in Indonesia. Previously, he and his family lived in Jakarta for several years.<\/p>\n

\u201cI used to live in Jakarta from 1999 to 2002 with my wife. So, it\u2019s great to return to Indonesia. It\u2019s an honor to be here as the New Zealand Ambassador,\u201d he said enthusiastically.<\/p>\n

The same thing was conveyed by the Designate Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia, Roderick Bruce Brazier. He appreciated the warm welcome he received. \u201cThank you very much for the wonderful welcome. It\u2019s a great honor to be the Australian Ambassador to Indonesia and I hope the relations between Australia and Indonesia are getting closer, stronger, and more mutually beneficial,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The Designate Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia, Ivana Golubovi\u0107-Duboka, also could not hide her emotional feeling over the procession she received at the Merdeka Palace. She emphasized her commitment to strengthening bilateral relations by increasing cooperation in various fields.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am truly moved by this ceremony. I feel very honored to be appointed as the Serbian Ambassador to Indonesia,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Designate Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Somalia, dr. Faysal Ahmed Salad, sees a great opportunity to enhance concrete cooperation, particularly in the fields of business and trade. He also highlighted the potential for collaboration in various sectors as part of efforts to strengthen relations between the two countries.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019d like to enhance bilateral agreements, activities between Indonesia and Somalia. We have a shared history, and I look forward to improving bilateral relations in the future,” he said.<\/p>\n

In addition, the Designate Resident Ambassador of the Republic of Italy, Roberto Colamin\u00e8, also shared his experiences during his stay in Indonesia, adding that Indonesia’s rich culture and natural beauty are great attractions to strengthen relations among nations.<\/p>\n

“I have visited Yogyakarta, Lombok, and passed through Bali, which of course are famous destinations. However, I think that there are many other attractive places in Indonesia, and I hope to explore more of the cultural heritage in this country,” he said.<\/p>\n

Indonesia, with its friendly people, rich culture, and growing economic dynamics, shows powerful impression to the diplomats who had been just on duties. They expressed optimism that their presence will bring the relations between Indonesia and the countries they represent to a higher level.
