President Prabowo Subianto and American philanthropist Bill Gates Wednesday (05\/07) visited Jati 03 elementary public school in East Jakarta to inspect the implementation of the free nutritious meal (MBG) program.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival at the school at around 10:30 Western Indonesian Time, the two were greeted by the students. The President and Bill Gates then thoroughly reviewed the meals prepared for distribution, ensuring that the children received a balanced and nutritious intake.<\/p>\n

Subsequently, President Prabowo and Bill Gates visited one of the classrooms to observe the food distribution process. They also inspected the health check area, where students received free basic health screenings, including height, weight, blood pressure, and dental and ear health assessments.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, Principal of Jati 03 elementary public school, Retnaningsih, noted the children\u2019s excitement and enthusiasm in welcoming the distinguished guests.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe enthusiasm shown by parents and children is remarkable. I hope the visit will help propel the school forward and enhance the quality of services provided to our students,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Retnaningsih also expressed hope that the MBG program, which has been in place at the school since January, will continue for it benefits children across the country.<\/p>\n
