President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated the simultaneous groundbreaking for the construction of eighteen Police warehouses across twelve provinces, as well as inaugurated the Corn Dryer Warehouse owned by PT Pangan Merah Putih in Bengkayang regency, West Kalimantan province, Thursday (06\/05).<\/p>\n

This inauguration marks an important milestone in strengthening the national food security ecosystem through integrated logistics infrastructure.<\/p>\n

“By saying bismillahirrohmanirrohim<\/em>, this afternoon, Thursday, June 5, 2025, I, Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, hereby inaugurate the Warehouse and Corn Dryer of PT Pangan Merah Putih,” said President Prabowo during the inauguration.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival at the event location, President Prabowo participated in the series of events, started with the national anthem Indonesia Raya, followed by a report from the Chief of the Indonesian National Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. In his report, Listyo explained that the construction of this corn warehouse is part of the Police\u2019s strategy to strengthen the supply chain and stabilize food supply, especially in the West Kalimantan region.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlong with the increasing land area and harvest potential in West Kalimantan province, the National Police have facilitated the construction of a storage warehouse as well as a corn processing factory in the province by PT Pangan Merah Putih. This location has a storage capacity of 1,000 tons and a production capacity of up to 300 tons per day,\u201d Listyo said.<\/p>\n

Not only physical infrastructure, he also stated that the Police have collaborated with agricultural workers and private parties to provide cultivation assistance to corn farmers. Through a partnership with Perum Bulog, the National Police are also building eighteen new warehouses in twelve provinces.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe National Police will build eighteen storage warehouses on Police-owned land in twelve provinces with a total storage capacity of up to 18,000 tons. And today, a simultaneous groundbreaking will be held with a target completion in August 2025,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

After delivering remarks, President Prabowo symbolically pressed the siren button and signed a plaque to mark the groundbreaking for the warehouse construction project and the inauguration of the Corn Dryer Warehouse of PT Pangan Merah Putih.<\/p>\n

This inauguration is part of President Prabowo\u2019s working visit agenda in West Kalimantan province, which focuses on strengthening the food sector and downstreaming corn commodities as a national strategy to face global food security challenges.
