Your Excellency President Emmanuel Macron, the President of the Republic of France,<\/p>\n

Distinguished Delegates,<\/p>\n

First and foremost, welcome to Indonesia! Thank you for the great honor given to us through your visit. This year, our countries celebrate the 75th<\/sup> anniversary of diplomatic relations and more than a decade of strategic partnership.<\/p>\n

Our bilateral relations are built on a strong and robust political cooperation all while upholding mutual respects and our common principles, namely sovereignty, independence, respect for human rights, and democracy. Although the cooperation established by both countries has developed rapidly, there are many new potentials and opportunities that can be explored and seized.<\/p>\n

I really welcome today\u2019s meeting, particularly amidst international geopolitical and geoeconomic uncertainties. France and Indonesia may contribute to the improvement of current geopolitical and geoeconomic situation.<\/p>\n

Once again, thank you for your courtesy visit. Your Excellency, you may deliver your statement.<\/p>\n

Ladies and Gentlemen,<\/p>\n

First, I would like to thank President Prabowo Subianto for the warm welcome to this meeting so we can have a discussion on this state visit. This is an exceptional opportunity to establish a new milestone in the strategic partnership recently reaffirmed by the President, with a number of shared commitments to cooperation in the areas of economy, technology, and security.<\/p>\n

Our relations have been established for more than 75 years and have developed rapidly during the past ten years.<\/p>\n

For the past eight years, France has implemented the Indo-Pacific strategy that serves as a bridge to this region, including a carrier strike group that reflects the closeness between the two countries, be it in the sectors of defense, energy, energy transition, transportation, and critical minerals.<\/p>\n

I would also like to highlight the cultural aspect, as we will sign an agreement at Borobudur tomorrow.<\/p>\n

The friendship between Indonesia and France is not merely a word. It has grown stronger year by year, and now it is a tangible reality.<\/p>\n

So, thank you very much, Mr. President, for this warm welcome, for the opportunity to engage in our recent discussions, and for our joint efforts for the next two days.<\/p>\n
