President Prabowo Subianto and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin witnessed the exchange of bilateral cooperation documents between the Governments of Indonesia and Russia at the Konstantinovsky Palace, St. Petersburg, Thursday (06\/19). The exchange of the documents confirms the commitment of both countries to strengthening intersector strategic relations amid global dynamics that keep changing.<\/p>\n

All the documents have been previously signed by the related officials of both countries, and they were symbolically exchanged before the two heads of state. The exchanged cooperation documents include:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Agreement between Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia and Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation on Cooperation in Higher Education.<\/li>\n
  2. Memorandum of Understanding between Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia and Ministry of Transportation of the Russian Federation on Cooperation in Transportation Sector.<\/li>\n
  3. Memorandum of Understanding between Ministry of Communications and Digitals of the Republic of Indonesia and Ministry of Digital, Communication, dan Mass Media Development of the Russian Federation on Cooperation in the Sector of Digital and Mass Media Development.<\/li>\n
  4. Memorandum of Understanding between DANANTARA (Indonesia\u2019s Investment Management Agency) and \u201cManagement Company of Russian Direct Investment Fund\u201d (Russia\u2019s Joint Stock Company).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In addition, during the meeting, President Putin and President Prabowo have agreed on \u201cthe Declaration on Strategic Partnership between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Indonesia.\u201d The exchange of the cooperation documents reflects a new direction in Indonesia-Russia bilateral relations which have become more extensive and multidimentional, starting from education and digital economy to investment, transportation, and intensive connectivity between strategic institutions.
