President Prabowo Subianto has emphasized the importance of transitioning towards energy self-sufficiency based on clean and efficient national resources.<\/p>\n

The President also expressed confidence that solar energy would be key to building energy independence across the nation, including in remote areas.<\/p>\n

“With solar energy, every village can achieve energy self-sufficiency. Every district can be energy self-sufficient. Every regency can be energy self-sufficient. Remote islands will also gain energy sufficiency. Even the remotest villages in the mountains will have access to energy and electricity,” President Prabowo stated in his remarks in the inauguration of renewable energy development and projects across 15 provinces, a 30,000-barrel increase in oil production from the Cepu Block, and the groundbreaking for five geothermal power plants (PLTPs) on Thursday (06\/26).<\/p>\n

President Prabowo said that Indonesia\u2019s ongoing energy transition is not only aimed at national energy resilience but also cost efficiency, environmental sustainability, and equitable public welfare. He called on all stakeholders to work together toward achieving zero carbon emissions by the targeted timeline.<\/p>\n

“More importantly, we must be able to produce energy efficiently, at an affordable cost, and by cutting expensive logistical routes. This is the impact of our large-scale program,” the President explained.<\/p>\n

President Prabowo also expressed his appreciation to all government officials, State-Owned Enterprises, and regional governments that have worked hard to realize these major projects. He reiterated the importance of clean and efficient governance across all public service sectors.<\/p>\n

“I am of the view that Indonesia is now at a turning point\u2014an era of revival, of optimism, of hard work. Therefore, I once again remind all officials and personnel in our State-Owned Enterprises to improve and uphold efficient work practices, deliver services with the best, most transparent, and clean management. Give your best to the Indonesian people,” the President stated.<\/p>\n

President Prabowo also urged government officials to continue fighting corruption that hinder development.<\/p>\n

“We will become the nation we aspire to be: a modern nation, an advanced nation, and a prosperous nation, where all citizens enjoy prosperity. That is our goal. And today is a very meaningful day in our struggle toward prosperity and justice,” President Prabowo remarked.
