During a bilateral meeting with President of the European Council Ant\u00f3nio Costa, President Prabowo Subianto underscored the European Union\u2019s vital role in promoting global peace and stability. The Head of State also called for stronger multilateral cooperation and closer international relations, particularly in the fields of economy, education, and health.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe would like to see greater European participation in our economy, and we are also ready to engage with the EU\u2019s economic market. We believe this relationship is symbiotic, Europe brings knowledge, technology, funding, and decades of experience in management and economics; while we offer strategic resources, critical minerals, and agricultural commodities that will be mutually beneficial within the framework of this strategic partnership,\u201d President Prabowo stated at the Europa Building in Brussels, Belgium, on Sunday (07\/13).<\/p>\n

The Head of State also highlighted key data on Indonesia and Europe socio-cultural interactions, including the significant number of Indonesian tourists and students in Europe. Each year, eight million Indonesians visit Europe, and more than 3,000 Indonesian students pursue higher education at various universities across Europe through government-sponsored scholarships.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe hope to see even more young Indonesians pursue their studies in Europe in the years to come,\u201d the President added.<\/p>\n

In his remarks, the President reiterated Indonesia\u2019s openness to international institutions, particularly in the fields of education and health, as part of its broader commitment to constructive global engagement.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the past two years, Indonesia has opened numerous sectors to foreign participation, including the health sector.
