President Prabowo Subianto, Tuesday (07\/23), led a meeting with ministers overseeing economic affairs, at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, to discuss the execution of the 2024 State Budget.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst, the meeting discussed bill on the report and execution of the 2024 State Budget that is currently under review by the [House of Representative\u2019s] Budget Committee. Hopefully, the result will align with the audit conducted by the Audit Board that issued an Unqualified Opinion for the financial report of the Central Government,\u201d Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani said after the meeting.<\/p>\n

Regarding fiscal outlook in 2025, the Minister also reported an estimated fiscal deficit of around 2.78 percent of the country\u2019s gross domestic product (GDP). She explained that this figure reflects a balance between potential revenue and government spending.<\/p>\n

\u201cI also reported to the President about the ongoing discussions in the House regarding the 2025 State Budget, particularly discussions following the mid-year report that highlight the overall progress on several government programs,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

During that meeting, the Minister also explained the preparation for drawing up the 2026 Financial Note and State Budget Bill (RAPBN) to be delivered by President Prabowo before members of the House next month. According to her, the RAPBN accommodates the President\u2019s priority programs covering free nutritious meals, Indonesian Government\u2019s free school program, Sekolah Rakyat (People\u2019s School), Red and White cooperatives, and strengthening of food security.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt also includes other government programs for primary and secondary education levels, improvement of Islamic schools, development of digital education, and programs initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology,\u201d she concluded.
