A moment brimming with warmth marked the final scene of Malaysian Prime Minister Dato\u2019 Seri Anwar Ibrahim\u2019s working visit to Jakarta on Tuesday (7\/29). \u00a0Following the conclusion of the Annual Consultation Meeting with President Prabowo Subianto at the Merdeka Palace, the two leaders concluded their talks with a display of strong camaraderie.<\/p>\n

Rather than offering a simple goodbye from afar, President Prabowo personally escorted PM Anwar to his official vehicle. As they walked down the corridor from the credential room to the palace grounds, both leaders walked side-by-side, engaged in an animated conversation. Occasional chuckles could be heard, an indication of the ease and warmth between them despite a packed diplomatic agenda earlier in the day.<\/p>\n

During their walk, President Prabowo presented PM Anwar with a photo album documenting highlights of the day’s visit. PM Anwar smiled broadly as he flipped through the pages, which featured moments from the official welcoming ceremony to their bilateral discussions.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a line of honor guards stood tall along the Merdeka Palace corridor, paying their respects to the visiting head of state. Just before PM Anwar stepped into his vehicle, the two leaders conversed for a moment longer.<\/p>\n

There was even a visible moment where they leaned in to whisper to each other, as if sharing a personal message that underscored their close bond. Following PM Anwar\u2019s departure, President Prabowo was seen chatting and discussing matters with several ministers from the Merah Putih Cabinet who had accompanied him throughout the meeting.<\/p>\n
