President Prabowo Subianto Wednesday (10\/08) inaugurated Matius Fakhiri and Aryoko Alberto Ferdinand Rumaropen as Governor and Vice Governor of Papua respectively for the 2025-2030 term of office, at the State Palace, Central Jakarta.<\/p>\n

The appointments were made in accordance with Presidential Decree Number 108\/P of 2025 on the Dismissal of the Acting Governor and the Appointment of the Governor and Vice Governor for the 2025-2030 Term of Office, as stated by Deputy to the Minister of State Secretary for Apparatuses\u2019 Administration Nanik Purwanti.<\/p>\n

Following the reading of the decree, President Prabowo administered the oath of office to the newly appointed regional leaders.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do solemnly swear that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and implement all laws and regulations in an upright manner for the sake of the state and the nation,\u201d the oath states, as read out by the President and followed by the newly inaugurated officials.<\/p>\n

The ceremony proceeded with the conferral of rank insignia by President Prabowo onto Governor Fakhiri and Vice Governor Rumaropen. Subsequently, the officials signed the official minutes of the inauguration.<\/p>\n

The event concluded with congratulatory remarks from President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, followed by other attendees. The ceremony was attended by state institution heads, ministers and vice ministers from the Red and White Cabinet, Commander of the Indonesian National Defense Forces General Agus Subiyanto, and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
