President Prabowo Subianto<\/strong> extended his direct support to players of the Indonesian national football team through a video call on Wednesday<\/strong> (08\/10)<\/strong>. The heartfelt moment took place just hours before the Garuda Squad<\/em> fought against their Saudi Arabian counterpart in the Fourth Round of the 2026 World Cup Asian Qualifiers<\/strong>, held at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium<\/strong>, Jeddah.<\/p>\n

In a video uploaded by the official social media account of the Cabinet Secretariat, President Prabowo was seen greeting Indonesia\u2019s Head Coach Patrick Kluivert<\/strong> and the players gathering in a room.<\/p>\n

\u201cHello,\u201d said President Prabowo as he opened the conversation.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow are you, Mr. President?\u201d asked Patrick Kluivert.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m good, thank you very much,\u201d replied the President with a smile.<\/p>\n

President Prabowo then asked about the team\u2019s readiness for the important match that evening.<\/p>\n

\u201cAre you ready for tonight\u2019s big game?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re ready, all of us are ready,\u201d answered Kluivert and the players in unison.<\/p>\n

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya<\/strong> stated that President Prabowo delivered his prayers and full encouragement to the Garuda Squad<\/em> in the hope that they would perform at their best and deliver a positive result for Indonesia.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you all, I am praying for your success. Do your best and bring good news to us tonight. Good luck!!!\u201d said the President.<\/p>\n

The message was met with applause and enthusiastic cheers from the national players, who appeared excited to receive direct encouragement from the Head of State. Minister <\/strong>of Youth and Sports Erick Thohir<\/strong> was also present with the team during the call.<\/p>\n

Through this gesture, President Prabowo reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to supporting the advancement of national sports<\/strong>, particularly football<\/strong>, which holds a special place in the hearts of the Indonesian people.
