The National Internship Program for University Graduates which was launched by the Government on Friday (10\/7) received a warm welcome from the recent university graduates in Indonesia. This program, which is part of the national economy packages, not only provides work experience but also opens opportunities for the recent university graduates to get familiar with the industrial world directly.<\/p>\n
For Aisyah and Azzahra, two participants in this year\u2019s National Internship Program, the opportunity serves as an important step in pursuing their professional careers. Aisyah, a graduate of the Faculty of Psychology at the Jakarta State University, was one of the participants admitted into the internship program at an electronics company.<\/p>\n
\u201cOf course I considered the benefits [of this internship program]. Through this internship program, we will not only work but will also learn. Moreover, the benefits offered include allowances, health insurance, life insurance, and so on,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
According to Aisyah, the registration process through SIAPkerja ID portal on the official website of the Ministry of Manpower went smooth. \u201cThank God, the registration process went smoothly. Only the data synchronization phase took more time, but after that, everything went smooth. Afterward, I was told to attend an interview and then got the offer,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
For Aisyah, this program is not just a temporary opportunity, but this is a stepping stone toward a better future. She also hopes that similar program can be expanded to help the new graduates to face challenges of the working world.<\/p>\n
\u201cI hope that through this program I can learn a lot and further develop my knowledge and skills so that I can continue my career toward a better path,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Azzahra, a graduate of the Vocational Program in Office Administration at the University of Indonesia, was admitted as an intern at a broadcasting company. For her, this internship program is a concrete form of the Government\u2019s attention to the development of the younger generation.<\/p>\n
\u201cI see this program as an opportunity given by the Government for new graduates like me to directly enter the professional industry. So I also want to take part in the opportunity that the Government has provided,\u201d said Azzahra. \u201cI hope I can develop myself to know the working world better and train myself to be more adaptive, disciplined, and responsible in the future,\u201d she further added.<\/p>\n
This policy, which is part of the national priority program, reflects President Prabowo\u2019s concern for the younger generation, especially recent graduates, so that they have real opportunities to gain work experience and enhance their competitiveness in the labor market. The transition from the world of education to the world of work is an important phase that must be properly facilitated to prevent gaps in skills and employment opportunities.
