President Prabowo Subianto Monday (10\/20) leads the plenary cabinet meeting at the State Palace, Central Jakarta, to showcase key achievements of the Government in the sectors of investment, job creation, and tourism. In his remarks, the President emphasized that various strategic government programs have successfully strengthened the country\u2019s economic competitiveness while also improving the welfare of its people.<\/p>\n

President Prabowo stated that investment realization from January to September 2025 reached Rp1,434 trillion (increased by 13.7 percent year on year) and generated 1.9 million jobs.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have achieved our investment target last September. I believe this also shows our investment climate is still highly attractive to many countries,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

In addition, the Head of State highlighted the significant impact of the free nutritious meal program, which has contributed to a multiplier effect on the regional economy. The program, the President continued, has involved nearly 18,895 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), cooperatives, and village-owned enterprises in the food supply chain.<\/p>\n

President Prabowo also mentioned that the program had received recognition from the Rockefeller Institute for its substantial impact on the economy. \u201cThey said that based on their calculation, for every dollar invested in the free nutritious meal program, the return on the investment ranges from 5 to 37 dollars in the long term,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

In the labor sector, the President announced a 6.5 percent increase in provincial minimum wages, the highest in recent years. The Government has also paid special attention to informal sector workers, including 4 million online ride-hailing drivers, who are now receiving a holiday bonus for the first time.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Government is currently in discussions with online ride-hailing companies to find the best solutions for their drivers and to improve efficiency, so that we can avoid harmful competition. However, we want to ensure that ride-hailing jobs and the livelihoods of drivers are secured,\u201d the President said.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, in the tourism sector, the President reported a 12 percent increase in international tourist arrivals, reaching 14.8 million visits in 2025. This achievement is further bolstered by the recognition gained by 33 Indonesian hotels and resorts receiving Michelin stars.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne Michelin star, at the very least, is very important in the tourism industry. This means we are now among the top-tier in the world,\u201d President Prabowo remarked.
