President Prabowo Subianto, Wednesday (10\/22), hosted a state dinner for President of the Republic of South Africa Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, as a token of kinship and respect for friendly countries.<\/p>\n

Organized in a warm and friendly atmosphere, the state dinner was enlived with traditional Indonesian music and cultural performances, showcasing the richness of Indonesian art from various regions. Both leaders appeared to engage in friendly conversation while enjoying Indonesian haute cuisine prepared especially for the honored guests.<\/p>\n

In his remarks, President Prabowo extended his appreciation and joy for having President Ramaphosa and his delegates as his guests on today’s dinner. He said that the state dinner is more than a ceremonial event but a symbol of friendship and strong commitment to further strengthening relations between the two countries.<\/p>\n

\u201cMay this friendship be lasted and both countries continue to prosper. I also wish for the good health of President of the South Africa. I also would like to thank you for wearing batik as a token of respect, \u201c he said.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, President Ramaphosa expressed his high appreciation for Indonesia’s warm welcome during his visit. He went on to say that it is essential to enhance strategic partnership with Indonesia, particularly on trade, investment, and South-South Cooperation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you very much for the batik that made me look so good. Thank you. I really want to deliver my appreciation for inviting us to visit Indonesia,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Through this occasion, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to continuously strengthening mutually beneficial and concrete collaboration. The occasion also marked a renewed spirit in Indonesia\u2013South Africa diplomatic relations, which have been established for more than three decades.
