President Prabowo Subianto affirmed that all government policies during his administration will be established for the sake of the people\u2019s benefit. Therefore, state budget must be managed in accountable and efficient manners.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhere does that money come from? It is the people\u2019s money, from taxes, from the nation\u2019s wealth. That\u2019s why we must prevent all spending leaks. We truly must put an end to misuse and corruption. The people\u2019s money must not be stolen because it will be returned to the people,\u201d President Prabowo said in his remarks at the inauguration of the new Tanah Abang Station in Jakarta on Tuesday (11\/04).<\/p>\n

The President went on to say that one of the government\u2019s efforts to improve its service to the people is through enhanced public transportation. Railway service, for instance, where the Government covers most of the operating costs, making it remain affordable and accessible to the public.<\/p>\n

He also expressed belief that Indonesia\u2019s economy will be more robust and autarky, which is evidenced by the government\u2019s achievements in maintaining food security and its efforts to achieve energy self-sufficiency in the coming years.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlhamdulillah, thank God, the Government and team I lead have successfully recorded the highest food production in the country\u2019s history. Our food reserves are currently the largest throughout the history of the Republic of Indonesia. We are secure in food supply and we will continue to ensure that security,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

On that occasion, President Prabowo also emphasized the importance of confidence and pride in the nation\u2019s own ability. He lauded state-owned railway operator PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) for improving their technology and services which is on a par with International standards.<\/p>\n

\u201cI often travel abroad. I think our trains are on a par with that of other countries. So, we, as a nation, should learn to respect and appreciate those who managed to make achievement,\u201d he said.
