A number of citizens enthusiastically welcomed President Prabowo Subianto as he inspected the services of commuter line train from Manggarai Station to Tanah Abang Station on Tuesday (11\/04). For some passengers, the moment was an unforgettable experience, not only because the facilities are now more comfortable, but also because they had the chance to meet the Head of State in person.<\/p>\n

One of them, Sabariah, a resident of West Sumbawa regency who happened to be in Jakarta, was riding the train from Depok to Tanah Abang to visit her child. Sabariah said that the train is now very comfortable and expressed her excitement about meeting the President directly. \u201cAlhamdulillah<\/em>, it\u2019s nice. We got to meet Mr. President,\u201d said Sabariah.<\/p>\n

In the same carriage, Amilia, a Depok resident who is starting a clothing business, also felt the same benefits. She said she was happy with the improvements to the facilities, which made her daily commute safer and more comfortable.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you for these facilities [provided] for the people, so the public can use commuter trains comfortably,\u201d said Amilia.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Solihin, 66 years old, a Depok resident on his way to Kebayoran Lama for shopping, praised the comfort of the trains and the grandeur of the newly revamped station.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt seems like the trains are getting better and better. Maybe this is domestically manufactured? They\u2019re getting better, more comfortable, more orderly. It’s really good,\u201d said Solihin.<\/p>\n

Solihin also expressed his amazement at the revitalized Tanah Abang Station. He voiced hope that transportation in Indonesia, especially in the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek) would continue to improve.<\/p>\n

\u201cWow, it\u2019s really amazing, I\u2019d say. Tanah Abang Station is very luxurious, more comfortable. Hopefully things will continue to improve in the future, maintenance, transportation, and the commuter line will keep progressing,\u201d Solihin concluded.<\/p>\n
