The Indonesian Government is committed to completing the establishment of Red and White Fishing Villages in 65 locations to improve the welfare of coastal communities.<\/p>\n

\u201cCurrently, it is at around 20-30%. Hopefully, by the end of the year, we can finish it,\u201d Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono said after a limited meeting at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Thursday (11\/06).<\/p>\n

During the meeting, President Prabowo Subianto ordered the Ministry to develop land-based aquaculture across the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe land-based aquaculture development was ordered by the President to be set up in 500 regencies,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

In addition, the Minister stated that the aquaculture program is targeted to run gradually and aims to be completed in two years.<\/p>\n
