Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Friday (11\/7), came firsthand to inspect the implementation of the National Internship Program at a big private company, PT Denso Indonesia, in Bekasi regency, West Java province.<\/p>\n
Accompanied by the Minister of Manpower, Prof. Yassierli, the visit aimed at ensuring that the program\u2019s implementation has met the standards and provided tangible benefits to the young participants.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe directly inspected the participants of the National Internship Program for Batch 1, who have begun working since October 20, 2025. They have now completed their three-week internship,\u201d said Cabinet Secretary Teddy in a written statement.<\/p>\n
Cabinet Secretary Teddy said the interns at PT Denso Indonesia are fully engaged in the real-world work process in their areas of expertise. They receive skills training from experienced mentors and a stipend based on the regency\/city regulations which is approximately Rp5.5 million per month around Bekasi area.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt PT Denso, the interns are actually working, receiving skills training in their own fields, and are supervised by experienced mentors. They also receive a stipend based on the regulations in Bekasi regency\/city approximately Rp5.5 million per month,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He also added that one of the most interesting things during the visit was knowing the fact that the large number of internship participants recently graduated from college last August and are now working just two months after graduation. This demonstrates the program\u2019s effectiveness in accelerating the transition of new graduates into the workforce.<\/p>\n

He stated that President Prabowo Subianto, through the Minister of Manpower, has ordered to significantly increase the quota for the internship program. This shows the Government\u2019s commitment to expanding job opportunities for the nation\u2019s young generation.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is the Government\u2019s commitment to expanding job opportunities for young people. President Prabowo, through the Minister of Manpower, has ordered the opening of an additional 80,000 interns this November, bringing the total number of participants in the National Internship Program to 100,000 by 2025,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
For the record, the National Internship Program is part of the Government\u2019s strategy to improve human resource competency and reduce unemployment, especially among young people. Through partnerships with industry, this program can bridge the gap between education and the needs of the workforce, while simultaneously boosting national productivity.
