President Prabowo Subianto on Friday (7\/11) received letters of credence from newly appointed Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of friendly countries to Indonesia at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta. The ambassadors highlighted the focus of further strengthening the bilateral relations in various sectors, including the economy, politics, education, and community engagement.<\/p>\n

To commemorate 70 years of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Poland, Poland’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Barbara Szymanowska, underscored the friendship and shared values of the two countries. She noted that future bilateral relations will focus on agriculture, technology, and the defense sector.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are connected not only because of our flags \u2013 red and white, merah putih<\/em> and, but also by our national symbols, Poland\u2019s white eagle and Garuda. Both of them stand for strength, dignity, and independence. I really hope that we will cooperate in many ways, starting from agriculture, green and digital technology, transportation, and defense,\u201d said Barbara.<\/p>\n

Kuwait Ambassador to Indonesia Khalid Jassim Alyassin believed that Indonesia is a strategic partner in keeping stability in the region and the global economy. He reaffirmed the commitment to advancing bilateral ties in investment, trade, and food security.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are looking forward to strengthen the existing relationship and to elevate to a higher level, especially in the fields of investment, trade, economy, energy, clean energy development, and food security. I believe Indonesia is an important player in world affairs, especially the G20, OIC, ASEAN,\u201d said Khalid.<\/p>\n

Pakistan Ambassador to Indonesia Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri noted that the bilateral ties between the two countries had developed long before Independence Day. He expressed the commitment to advance the cooperation in defense sector, economy, and community.<\/p>\n

\u201cPakistan and Indonesia have historically enjoyed brotherly and friendly relations here. As Pakistan Ambassador to Indonesia, my endeavor would be to further strengthen cooperation, expand our relations, particularly in the areas of defense cooperation, economic and trade relations, but most importantly further strengthen people-to-people contacts,\u201d said Zahid.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Yemen Ambassador to Indonesia Salem Ahmed Balfakeeh emphasized Indonesia-Yemen close-tied relations started from long history of migration and religion. Salem affirmed the commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties.<\/p>\n

\u201cDiplomatic relations between Indonesia and Yemen have started since the seventh century when Yemeni people, especially from Hadhramaut, migrated to Indonesia. These relations, as we can see, are in trade, politics, religion, and education sectors. We can see many students in Yemen are from Indonesia,\u201d said Salem.
