Two teachers from North Luwu regency, South Sulawesi province \u2014 Drs. Abdul Moeis and Drs. Rasnal, M.Pd. \u2014 deliver a press statement after receiving a rehabilitation letter from President Prabowo Subianto at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, Thursday (11\/13).<\/p><\/div>\n

Following the issuance of President Prabowo Subianto\u2019s rehabilitation letter restoring their good names on Thursday (11\/13), two teachers from North Luwu regency, South Sulawesi province \u2014 Drs. Abdul Moeis and Drs. Rasnal, M.Pd. \u2014 expressed deep relief and emotion as the decision finally brought justice to their long struggle.<\/p>\n

After receiving the presidential rehabilitation letter at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta, both teachers conveyed their gratitude and appreciation for President Prabowo\u2019s attention to the challenges faced by educators in the regions.<\/p>\n

\u201cPersonally, my family and I extend our sincere gratitude to the President for restoring our sense of justice. For the past five years, we have faced discrimination from law enforcement and from our own administrative superiors who seemed indifferent to our case,\u201d Abdul Muis, a sociology teacher at SMA Negeri 1 Luwu Utara state high school, said with tears in his eyes.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile Rasnal, former principal of SMA Negeri 1 Luwu Utara state high school, who now teaches English at SMA Negeri 3 Luwu Utara state high school, admitted that the long effort to clear their names was far from easy. He described the struggle as exhausting.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was a very tiring journey. We fought from the lowest level all the way to the provincial authorities. Unfortunately, justice was never within reach,\u201d Rasnal said.<\/p>\n

On that occasion, Rasnal conveyed his profound gratitude after meeting directly with President Prabowo Subianto and receiving the rehabilitation decision.<\/p>\n

He called the rehabilitation letter a tremendous blessing that restored his good name and demonstrated the President\u2019s commitment to ensuring justice for teachers.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter we met with the President, alhamdulillah<\/em>, he granted us rehabilitation. I have nothing more to say except thank you, Mr. President,\u201d he said gratefully.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am thankful to Allah SWT, God the Almighty. With this decision, we have finally gained justice, rehabilitation, and the restoration of our good name,\u201d Rasnal added.<\/p>\n

Rasnal also expressed hope that similar cases will not happen to other educators in the future.<\/p>\n

\u201cI sincerely hope there will be no more criminalization of teachers who are doing their best in the field. Currently, many of my colleagues live with fear that even the smallest mistake could lead to unfair punishment,\u201d he said.
