President Prabowo Subianto and King Abdullah II of Jordan on Saturday (11\/15) witnessed a live demonstration of drone, jointly developed by the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI) and the Jordanian Armed Forces, at Djamsuri Shooting Range, Halim Perdanakusuma, Jakarta.<\/p>\n

A strong sense of pride filled the shooting range as President Prabowo and King Abdullah II watched the joint drone demonstration. For the soldiers involved, the opportunity to perform before two heads of state was a rare and historic milestone in their military careers.<\/p>\n

Major General Yudha Airlangga, Commander of the TNI Special Operations Command, explained that the performance had been planed carefully, from the welcoming ceremony to the display of combat capabilities.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe performed the Merpati Putih<\/em> martial arts demonstration, our national heritage, followed by a tactical drone exercise that combined the capabilities of the TNI and the Jordanian Armed Forces,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The drone demonstration was the highlight of the event, showcasing advanced technologies developed by the two countries. Lieutenant Colonel Petrus Paramayudo Prabowo, Commander of the Presidential Security Detail (Paspampres) Field Detachment, explained that the demonstration represented a tactical simulation combining air and ground forces.<\/p>\n

A total of 50 personnel took part in the demonstration. The TNI deployed 38 soldiers, including reserve components, while Jordan sent 12 of its best soldiers. Prior to the event, the TNI had sent personnel to Jordan for intensive drone technology training.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe sent our soldiers for about two months for drone training. After they returned, the collaboration continued with Jordanian soldiers being sent here. We trained for around three days before performing in front of the President and the King today,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

With both heads of state in attendance, the exercise demonstrated not only technical readiness but also strengthened Indonesia\u2013Jordan bilateral relations. Major General Yudha stated that the cooperation is expected to grow into a broader strategic partnership.<\/p>\n

From the soldiers\u2019 perspective, the opportunity to work side by side with Jordanian forces provided valuable insights.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor soldiers, this cooperation is very beneficial. They can learn a lot, broaden their perspective, understand another nation\u2019s culture, and hopefully we can soon adopt advanced technologies like these drones so that the TNI becomes more modern,\u201d Lieutenant Colonel Petrus said.<\/p>\n

For all participants, performing before President Prabowo and King Abdullah II was a profound honor. Many felt that the experience was priceless and unlikely to come twice in a lifetime.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe as soldiers are grateful and very proud to have this opportunity, especially to perform before two heads of state. Not every soldier will ever get an opportunity like this,\u201d Lieutenant Colonel Petrus said.<\/p>\n
