President Prabowo Subianto on Thursday (12\/04) received a courtesy call from Wang Huning, Chairman of the Chinese People\u2019s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.<\/p>\n

The welcoming ceremony began as the official motorcade of the CPPCC Chairman entered the main gate of the palace. Wang Huning was greeted by Pa\u2019gellu Toraja dance performed by 12 dancers and musicians, as a gesture of respect and a display of Indonesia\u2019s cultural diversity.<\/p>\n

Upon stepping out of his vehicle, the CPPCC Chairman proceeded to the main veranda of Merdeka Palace, where he was warmly welcomed\u00a0 by President Prabowo. Both leaders then moved to the credential room for an official photo session. Following the photo session, the CPPCC Chairman signed the guestbook as a symbol of honor and the diplomatic friendship between the two nations.<\/p>\n

After the signing ceremony, President Prabowo introduced Indonesian delegation, namely Speaker of the People\u2019s Consultative Assembly (MPR) Ahmad Muzani, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Arrmanatha Nasir, and Indonesia\u2019s Deputy Ambassador to China, Irene.<\/p>\n

Afterward, President Prabowo and Wang Huning held a t\u00eate-\u00e0-t\u00eate meeting, as part of the measures to strengthen friendship and strategic cooperation between Indonesia and China.<\/p>\n

Following the meeting, President Prabowo presented a number of gifts to Wang Huning. The President also showed a photograph of a baby panda named Satrio Wiratama. The meaning of the panda\u2019s name is a noble knight with brave and virtuous character.<\/p>\n

The visit concluded with a working lunch attended by both leaders and their respective delegations. The courtesy call by Wang Huning reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to further deepen Indonesia\u2013China bilateral relations in ways that deliver tangible benefits for the people of both nations.<\/p>\n
