(Photo by: The BPMI of Presidential Secretariat\/Rusman)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>President Prabowo Subianto on Sunday (12\/7) inspected the construction of the Teupin Mane Bailey Bridge, a vital route connecting Bireuen and Takengon, in Bireuen regency, Aceh province.<\/p>\n<p>With a span of 30 meters, the temporary bridge serves as a crucial lifeline to restore disrupted land access following severe flooding and strong river currents.<\/p>\n<p>Upon arriving at the site, President Prabowo immediately inspected the construction located on the riverbank. He inspected the heavy machinery in operation, including excavators and loaders working continuously to reinforce the foundation and stone-fill embankments that will support the bridge.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is one of the Bailey bridges under construction. They are working nonstop, and we hope that within a week it will be operational, allowing the completion of the ongoing construction of the three other bridges leading to Bener Meriah and Takengon,\u201d the President said.<\/p>\n<p>The President stated that the government is deploying all available resources to ensure that logistics access and community mobility can be restored as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are mobilizing all our resources. All the bridges will be repaired. Hopefully in one to two weeks. The challenge is that we can proceed with other sections only after this section is operational,\u201d President Prabowo said.<\/p>\n<p>During the inspection, the President also received detailed reports on other infrastructure damage, including damage to dams and local rice fields.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI got report that many dams were broken. The Ministry of Public Works will immediately begin repairs. Rice fields that were damaged will be rehabilitated. Farmers need not worry.
