As part of efforts to strengthen Indonesia\u2019s diplomacy at the global level, through both bilateral cooperation and participation in international economic forums, President Prabowo Subianto on Sunday (01\/18) began his overseas working visits to the United Kingdom and Switzerland to attend a series of strategic meetings.<\/p>\n

According to Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, the President commenced his trip from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis Sunday afternoon, January 18, 2026, President Prabowo Subianto began his visits to the United Kingdom and Switzerland to attend several meetings,\u201d the Cabinet Secretary said in a written statement.<\/p>\n

Prior to his visit to London, the Cabinet Secretary said that the President first held a meeting with Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Prof. Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, to discuss recent developments.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt Halim, President Prabowo met with Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, to discuss the latest developments, before leaving for London,\u201d the Cabinet Secretary explained.<\/p>\n

Cabinet Secretary Teddy further said that in London, England, the President is scheduled to meet with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to discuss a number of strategic partnerships between Indonesia and the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n

In addition, President Prabowo is also scheduled to meet with King Charles III to discuss issues related to nature and environmental conservation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Head of State will also meet with King Charles III to hold discussions on nature and environmental conservation, including elephant conservation, together with several global philanthropic figures,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Following his agenda in the United Kingdom, President Prabowo will continue his visit to Davos, Switzerland, to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF).<\/p>\n

At the forum, President Prabowo is scheduled to deliver a keynote address before world leaders and global economic stakeholders.<\/p>\n

\u201cPresident Prabowo will also hold strategic dialogues with chief executive officers of leading international companies,\u201d Cabinet Secretary Teddy remarked.<\/p>\n

For the record, President Prabowo\u2019s visits underscore his active role on the global stage and reinforces Indonesia\u2019s position amid evolving global economic and geopolitical dynamics.<\/p>\n
