President Prabowo has a meeting with British PM Keir Starmer in London, on Tuesday (01\/20)<\/p><\/div>\n

During his working visit to United Kingdom, President Prabowo Subianto had a bilateral meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Tuesday (01\/20). The meeting aimed to elevate bilateral ties and strategic partnerships between Indonesia and the UK.<\/p>\n

PM Starmer welcomed President Prabowo at his office in London, followed by official photos, before proceeding to have a t\u00eate-\u00e0-t\u00eate in a warm atmosphere.<\/p>\n

President Prabowo expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome during his visit. He noted that some productive meetings were concluded, including a meeting that discussed maritime partnership.<\/p>\n

\u201cI met CEO Babcock. We are pleased to proceed with the maritime partnership. I think this is very important and strategic for Indonesia. This is a vital part of our maritime economic development,\u201d said the President.<\/p>\n

In addition to maritime, the President also mentioned some of his following agendas\u2014to have constructive discussions with the UK counterpart in other sectors. \u201cToday, I will have other discussions with business leaders in the UK, also leaders from Russell Group universities,\u201d said the President.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think this is very productive, and I appreciate our relationship very much, Prime Minister,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, PM Starmer noted that President Prabowo\u2019s visit reflects the rapid progress in relations between the two countries, particularly following the achievement of a strategic partnership. Regarding the maritime agreement, PM Starmer underscored that the agreement will benefit the UK, especially in job creation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you also for the maritime agreement that we signed, albeit virtually at the G20. That is measured in many jobs which really matter in the United Kingdom,\u201d said PM Starmer.<\/p>\n

Following the meeting, President Prabowo and PM Starmer continued a bilateral meeting with delegates of each country, discussing concrete deliverables to implement agreements and strengthening bilateral corporations.<\/p>\n
