President Prabowo, on Thursday (01\/22), reaffirms Indonesia\u2019s commitment to equitable welfare through clean governance, an open economy, and global peace at the WEF Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, Switzerland.<\/p><\/div>\n

President Prabowo Subianto outlined the direction and key programs of his administration in his address at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, Switzerland, on Thursday (01\/22).<\/p>\n

He said that beyond peace and stability, economic growth requires strong state governance and efficient capital allocation. In this context, President Prabowo explained the establishment of the sovereign wealth fund Danantara Indonesia as a strategic instrument to drive national growth and industrialization, positioning it as the foundation of Indonesia\u2019s partnership with global investors.<\/p>\n

\u201cDanantara is a sovereign wealth fund with assets under management totaling US$1 trillion. With Danantara, I can stand before you as an equal partner,\u201d President Prabowo said.<\/p>\n

According to the President, Indonesia is now gaining recognition not only as a stable country, but also as a country of growing investment opportunities. Through Danantara, Indonesia is opening space for collaboration and co-financing in future-oriented industries.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith Danantara Indonesia, you can now become our partner. We will invest and grow together with you,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

President Prabowo also highlighted fiscal efficiency policies as the basis for financing various priority programs. Within the first two months of his administration, the state budget was significantly restructured, enabling the Government to launch the free nutritious meals program, which has expanded rapidly.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs of last night, we have produced 59.8 million meals for 59.8 million children, mothers, and the elderly living alone. They receive these meals every day. This year, we are targeting 82.9 million meals per day,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

In the health sector, the President said the national free health check program is a long-term investment in productivity rather than a populist policy. In education, he highlighted efforts to accelerate transformation through nationwide school renovations and classroom digitalization.<\/p>\n

Human development, President Prabowo said, is the key to long-term growth. \u201cI am convinced that human resources determine long-term growth and returns. Human capital development is the key to a prosperous and successful nation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The President also reaffirmed his administration\u2019s commitment to breaking the cycle of poverty by expanding access to quality education, including the construction of boarding schools for children from extremely poor families, as well as the development of flagship schools and internationally standardized universities.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am determined to break this cycle. I am determined that children from the poorest families will not remain poor. They must be given the same opportunities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

President Prabowo further outlined programs to develop village cooperatives, modernize fishing villages, and strengthen the people\u2019s economy as part of Indonesia\u2019s national equity strategy. He noted that a pilot project to modernize a fishing village in Biak island, Papua province, has delivered tangible results.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe results are very encouraging. On average, their livelihoods have increased by 60 percent of their annual income,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
