President Prabowo Subianto is slated to receive prominent figures and leaders of Islamic organizations and Islamic boarding schools at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Tuesday (02\/03).<\/p>\n

According to Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, the meeting is held on a regular basis once every three or four months.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, the President will meet with a number of prominent figures from Islamic organizations, Islamic leaders, and also with the leaders of Islamic boarding schools from various regions. They will have a discussion,\u201d he told the media at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday (02\/03).<\/p>\n

Teddy went on to say that the meeting serves as a friendly platform for the President and Islamic figures to have amicable conversation and strategic discussion on the Government\u2019s achievements, progress, strategic programs, and the latest developments in home and international affairs.<\/p>\n

The Cabinet Secretary added that figures invited to the meeting come from various organizations, including the Executive Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU), the nation\u2019s largest Islamic organization, Muhammadiyah, the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), Persatuan Islam (Persis) Muslim group, Sarekat Islam, as well as leaders of Islamic boarding schools, especially from East Java and other regions.<\/p>\n
