President Prabowo Subianto Monday (02\/09) delivered a briefing to participants of the Indonesian Defense Forces (TNI) \u2013 the Indonesian National Police Leadership Meeting at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.<\/p>\n

This marks the first time the TNI\u2013the National Police Leadership Meeting has been held at the Presidential Palace.<\/p>\n

In a written statement, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya conveyed that the President expressed his appreciation to all the TNI and the National Police personnel, particularly for their swift response to disasters across various regions.<\/p>\n

The President also underscored the importance of reinforcing unity and synergy between the TNI and the National Police at all levels, from the highest leadership to the grassroots.<\/p>\n

The President also reminded all members of the TNI and the Indonesian National Police to uphold the trust placed in them by the public and to demonstrate it through their readiness to serve.<\/p>\n

\u201cProve the people’s trust in the TNI and the National Police by always being ready and responsive in assisting the community wherever and whenever needed,\u201d the Cabinet Secretary stated.<\/p>\n

The President also conveyed his appreciation to personnel of the TNI and the Indonesian National Police for their role in safeguarding, supporting, and facilitating the Government\u2019s strategic programs across various sectors.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d like to extend my appreciation to all the TNI and the National Police\u00a0 personnel who have safeguarded, supported, and facilitated the implementation of the Government\u2019s strategic programs, including the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program, Village Cooperatives, People\u2019s Schools, food and energy sovereignty, as well as the construction of bridges in villages for residents and schoolchildren,\u201d Teddy stated.<\/p>\n

On that occasion, the Head of State also underscored the importance of ensuring that law enforcement is carried out as fairly and justly as possible for all citizens.<\/p>\n

The President also directed the TNI and the Indonesian National Police, in coordination with local governments, to take an active role in maintaining environmental cleanliness, public health, and security through the Indonesia ASRI program.<\/p>\n

\u201cTogether with local governments, we are implementing the Indonesia ASRI (Safe, Healthy, Clean, and Beautiful) program nationwide, beginning with government offices and their surrounding environments,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

The President also emphasized the importance of safeguarding Indonesia\u2019s natural resources from all forms of violations and illegal exploitation by any party.<\/p>\n
