President Prabowo Subianto outlined several national transformation programs aimed at strengthening Indonesia’s competitiveness during the Business Summit roundtable held in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday (02\/18).<\/p>\n

One of the national transformation programs focuses on accelerating national digitalization through providing smart interactive screens to schools across the country. By the end of December 2025, President Prabowo stated that the Government has distributed more than 280,000 screens to the vast majority of schools.<\/p>\n

\u201cI aim that by the end of my term as a President, all classes in all schools in Indonesia will have these interactive screens, where our entire school syllabus is contained within the software and can be accessed at any time,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

According to the President, this digitalization initiative enables distance learning, ensuring that schools in remote areas continue to receive access to the best education. He also described this digitalization transformation as serious and carefully measured for Indonesia\u2019s education sector.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am very impressed by how quickly the children, the parents, and the teachers have all become enthusiastic about this. And, this is truly heartwarming for me to see the quick results of this program,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

In the economic sector, the President announced the establishment of the Danantara Investment Management Agency (BPI) to consolidate all state-owned assets. Through Danantara, the Government is accelerating industrial downstreaming by launching 18 downstream projects this year, as well as a US$3 billion waste-to-energy project.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are moving very quickly across all these sectors. I believe for American companies, Indonesia will not only be an attractive market, but also a competitive production base. We hope Indonesia will be viewed as a reliable strategic partner for the region,\u201d the President said.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the President also underscored Indonesia’s commitment to openness, enhancing infrastructure and logistics, strengthening supply chain connectivity, and pursuing pragmatic energy transition.<\/p>\n
